After a long day of travel that started at 10 am, and ended at La Bendicion about 2 am mountain time, we were up and ready to build the homes at 9 the next morning. 5 teams gathered at their jobs sites and then asked God to bless the new house that would be built, and the family that would soon hear the good news of Jesus’ love. By lunch time each team was well on their way to getting the walls put together. After our lunch of rice, beans, and corn tortillas, we were off to put up the drywall and outer board. The rains came but there was no stopping, by 6 pm we were back at the base eating and totally drenched. After a cold shower, but warm meal, we gathered for a drowsy team time and group devotions. By 9 pm it was lights out as we refreshed ourselves with much needed sleep, (we all knew the 5 am wake-up call would come soon). Our family is wonderful, Dad is a big help with our crew, and Mom spends the day taking care of the six kids and one grandbaby. We also have lots of livestock wandering around our worksite including a little pig we named Babe. Overall our team ROCKS! And we could not get along better!
