Just a note to let you know that we are praying for you while you are being God’s hands, feet and heart in Guatemala. Our son went last year and was forever changed; we pray that you will be too! We kind of know your schedule so know what you’ll be doing today and are praying that God will do a mighty work in the lives of those in the village tonight! Being a part of it will be AMAZING! Continue to trust that tho’ you were not originally “on the list” to go Guatemala, God knew all along that you would be there. He has great things planned as He loves others through you this week!

Dad & I were with Grandma & Grandpa Meekhof tonight, we printed off all of the prayers for you and Megan and the comments from Kevin. They really appreciated it since they don’t have internet. They wanted me to tell you how proud they are of you and of Megan and that they are praying for you both daily- for a safe trip home and blessings in your experiences in Guat.

Well we’re here waiting for Mom to finish up dinner, and it won’t quite be the same without you here meticulously constructing a plate of your regular sunday masterpiece! Mom even said that she was going to make something different for dinner since you weren’t here to complain about it, but I think she misses you too much because it looks like we’re having a roast, potatoes, and veggies. Anyway, sorry I didn’t leave you a message sooner, but I hope your first plane ride was fun, I hope you’ve enjoyed all of your travel “supplies” that we sent you with, and I hope you’re having the experience of a lifetime!! I’ve always wanted to do something like what you guys are doing, so you’ll have to tell me all of your amazing stories when you get back and convince me to do something similar some day!! We love you, we’re praying for you, and we miss you (and Megan too!!)!!

well this will probably be the last comment i post because soon you will be back w/us which i am very thankful for. we miss both you & megan here @ home. mr. degroot got your car running smoothly & touched up the paint & it’s looking great. he thinks we might even be able to ask a little more for it. your dad said that a few people have called on it so you might be w/out a ride when you get back. take care to get some shut-eye & we pray that all of your flights go well & are on time. can’t wait to see you all!!! love mrs. degroot
