Hello Chris.
I’m looking forward to praying with you and the team tomorrow morning as you head off to the airport. But I wanted you to know that as your prayer partner I’m already praying that God will work powerfully in you and through you in the coming week! I’m confident that God has great experiences in store for you!
God Bless you at the start of your journey!

Comment by Mary Molegraaf June 17, 2008 @ 4:18 amI’m Larry Molegraaf’s wife, and I’ve been on one of the trips to Guatemala, so I can relate to what you will experience. Have a great time, work hard, and you will be in awe at what you see the Lord do while you are there. Stay healthy, sleep when you can, and have a great time with the group.

Today is the day that you will be putting the framework of the houses up. I’m praying that all will go well and that what you are building may be more than a physical house — that it may be a spiritual home for Jesus as well!
I’m praying that you are experiencing Him!

Chris:
Just a note to let you know that we are praying for you while you are being God’s hands, feet and heart in Guatemala. Our son went last year and was forever changed; we pray that you will be too! We kind of know your schedule so know what you’ll be doing today and are praying that God will do a mighty work in the lives of those in the village tonight! Being a part of it will be AMAZING! Continue to trust that tho’ you were not originally “on the list” to go Guatemala, God knew all along that you would be there. He has great things planned as He loves others through you this week!
God bless you,

Comment by Grandma DeGroot June 21, 2008 @ 11:48 pmHi Chris!!!
Anyway, sorry I didn’t leave you a message sooner, but I hope your first plane ride was fun, I hope you’ve enjoyed all of your travel “supplies” that we sent you with, and I hope you’re having the experience of a lifetime!! I’ve always wanted to do something like what you guys are doing, so you’ll have to tell me all of your amazing stories when you get back and convince me to do something similar some day!! We love you, we’re praying for you, and we miss you (and Megan too!!)!!
Well we’re here waiting for Mom to finish up dinner, and it won’t quite be the same without you here meticulously constructing a plate of your regular sunday masterpiece! Mom even said that she was going to make something different for dinner since you weren’t here to complain about it, but I think she misses you too much because it looks like we’re having a roast, potatoes, and veggies.
Love you both!!
