Kelly!!! Best wishes on another trip to Guatemala. We will be praying for you and most of all, for patience!! Don’t overload the guys too much with carrying all your stuff. Hope the crutches aren’t too much of a problem and the ankle finishes healing. Since you won’t be doing a ton of hard labor – make sure you spend lots of time holding the kids and giving them lots of love (and candy).
Comment by Mom B. June 16, 2008 @ 10:31 pmLove you lots and we are so proud of you again!!

Comment by Mary Molegraaf June 17, 2008 @ 4:48 amI’m glad to hear that you can still make the trip, even with your crutches. There will be plenty of things that you can do. Stay healthy there, no more injuries! Just watch how the Lord will use you, then share the good new of God’s love when you return home, too.

Comment by Lisa VanDyken June 18, 2008 @ 9:07 pmI just wanted to let you know that
you have a special place in my heart
this week! You are so brave and
strong to have a broken foot and still
be so dedicated to serve others. I
admire that and will continue to
say a special prayer for you throughout
this week. We all are eager to hear
how the first part of the week has
gone and eager to hear how God once
again has worked in the lives of
his people. Take care Kelly and know
that you are covered in prayer.

Hi Kelly,
Comment by Jodi Berens June 18, 2008 @ 10:20 pmJust hoping that all went well today. We are all anxious to hear how everything is going, but according to Kristy’s comments – no news is definitely good news. Hope that ankle is doing well and not hurting too bad. It definitely is a bit quiet around here – no beeping from your phone!! Take care, be patient and try to do whatever you’re able to do. I know you can do it!! Love you lots and we’re all anxious to hear how everything is going.
Love, Mom

Comment by Jodi Berens June 19, 2008 @ 8:38 pmHope all is going well. It sounds like we probably won’t be hearing from you for a bit, but somehow sending a note out into cyberspace makes me feel like I’m still in contact with you. The girls are missing you! The dogs are missing you, and of course we’re missing you as well. Lots of things going on here of course, so be prepared for some changes. At least there won’t be anymore flooded basements. Hope you’re able to do some work around there – I know how frustrating it can be if everyone else is working and you’re not able to. We pray for safe travel back to the base and hope everything is up and working so we can hear from all of you. Sorry if there’s a few typos – cut my finger again, at least it was’t with a Cutco knife!! Hope to hear fro,m you soon.
Love, Mom!
Hey Kelly! I hope you are having a great time down there even with your crutches! I can’t wait till July 1 when we can go on a roadtrip to the farm! Me and Carmen can’t wait until you come home! Were praying for you!
Comment by Kelly Koets June 19, 2008 @ 10:26 pmHey. I am praying for you all the time. I hope that God is using you in very special ways. Stay strong and hang in there. If anyone can do it under these conditions I know it is you. have a blast.

Comment by Tammy (Kimberly's Mom) June 20, 2008 @ 10:15 amEnjoy the people and kids of Guatemala! What an impact you are having in their lives!! Pray that all is going well with you!
Kelly:
Know that we are praying for you and your team while you are in Guatemala. Last year it was Jordan G. who was the injured one; this year it is your turn…. I know you are a fabulous leader and God can use you in big ways, even tho’ you are on crutches. Don’t let doubt about that even cross your mind; it is exactly what Satan would like to have you think, but we know better!!!! Though your ankle is weak, your heart and mind are strong and focused on doing all that God desires to do through you.
Can’t wait to see the pictures and read the stories of your home dedication day!!!
God bless you,
The Dooleys
2 Corinthians 12:9 LB
Jesus said, “I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best in weak people.
You are “weak” now so that God can show His strength throuh you!! Kelly, you are in Guatemala NOW and on crutches NOW for a reason, God has had it planned all along!

Comment by Lynette Dooley June 20, 2008 @ 8:05 pmHere is another verse on weakness for you!
2 Corinthians 12:10
For Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Be strong, Kelly!
God bless you,
The Dooleys
Hey Kel Bel!
Comment by Taylor June 20, 2008 @ 11:44 pmHope your foot is doing alright! Have fun and stay safe. LOVE YOU.
Good morning Kelly!
Comment by Jodi Berens June 21, 2008 @ 8:54 amHope you’re waking up to a beautiful morning – it is gorgeous here today! I hate to let you know that it’s another quiet weekend here without KevKev. He’s gone dirt biking for the weekend, so now I get full responsibility of the dogs – fun! It’s so strange not getting updates, but thanks for Kevin and Kristy keeping us somewhat updated. Maybe it’s a good thing that we need to just trust in what God has planned and a good reminder that it’s not in our control. Hope you can all feel our thoughts and prayers for you. Take care, hope all are staying well and keep safe.
Love you lots and miss you a ton!
Momma B.☺
Happy Saturday Kelly – am keeping you in my prayers hoping everything is going well. Do you need more duct tape for the garbage bags? I pray that you are able to be a blessing to all of those you are working with and that you are also receiving God’s many blessings. Stay strong and healthy.

Hi Kelly,
Comment by Jodi Berens June 21, 2008 @ 11:47 amGlad to read the latest update. I’m really hoping you’re not the one with a skin infection!! Sounds like you are having an unbelievable time and we’re anxious to hear all the stories you’ll have when you return. It really is weird around here with no kids, you may have to adopt a few and bring them home for me! Not quite ready to have it be so quiet (except for the dogs) around here. We’re staying home today, but have to go to the cottage tomorrow – so I hope to do a lot of catching up on the news from Guatemala on Monday. Take care and hope you’re staying well as well as everyone else.
Love you!
Mother Berens!!

Kristy Van Wyhe
Kelly,
Just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and the team. I know that the trip with your broken foot wasn’t what you planned, but you have and will have an incredible chance to minister in a way you never thought. Hope that Alisha isn’t giving you any trouble. Thanks for looking out and taking care of her.
God Bless, Alisha’s Mom

I hope you’re able to spend lots of time with the kids. Take care and we’re thinking about all of you constantly.

Comment by Dad June 23, 2008 @ 6:38 amGood morning Kelly,
Comment by Jodi Berens June 23, 2008 @ 7:37 amJust think tomorrow you’ll already be heading back home. I’m sure that all of you will have mixed feelings about that. Hope you’re feeling well – Dad mentioned that he didn’t see many pictures of you and hoped that it wasn’t because you’re not feeling well. Have another wonderful day and we’re so anxious to hear everything that has happened. Take care and love you lots!!
Mom
Kelly! I’m writing this for Kevin and he can’t wait until you return tomorrow to tell you about his weekend. He really does miss you even though he won’t admit it. I can’t say it’s been quiet around here with all the construction and demolition, but we do miss you!
Comment by Jodi Berens June 23, 2008 @ 12:20 pmLove, Mom and Kevin
Kell!!!! Love the picture of BJ carrying you. Hopefully that wasn’t too frequently. It was good to see some pictures of everyone and it looks like most are all doing quite well.
