I can’t wait to see the pictures of all that you are doing in Guatemala to serve God by serving others! We’ll be praying that He will give you great JOY on this journey–that it will overflow to all those around you.
“God sees us with the eyes of a Father. He sees our defects, errors, and blemishes. But He also sees our value. What did Jesus know that enabled Him to do what He did? Here is part of the answer. He knew that each human being is a treasure. And because He did, people were not a source of stress but a source of joy.”
From In the Eye of the Storm
Know that you are surrounded by great treasures!
God bless you,

Comment by The VanderWels June 20, 2008 @ 7:37 amWe’ve been told that Friday is the day when you will be able to get internet access. I can’t wait to hear a little more about what has been going on with you and your group. Basically all I know is that you arrived late, you are tired, it rained, repairmen are slow and your doing drywall. I continue to pray for you and your group. I sure hope that this experience is going well for you because I know that there are a lot of people out there praying and thinking about you constantly.
I know in my heart that this is a great opportunity for you but as your dad, who misses you a ton, I want my little baby girl home. The time has gone fast though and we will see you again in just a few short days.
Love you!!!
Dad

Comment by Kyle June 20, 2008 @ 7:51 pmHi Lindsey, I am Larry Molegraaf’s wife, and part of my job while he is in Guatemala with your group is to pray for all of you. So I have been praying that you will all stay healthy, that the weather will hold out so that you can get the houses built, and that you will build relationships with some of the people ther. Most of all I pray that you will see how powerfully the Lord will use the work of your hands there. You are bringing honor to Him through your workk, and He will bless you for it. Mary Molegraaf
Comment by Mary Molegraaf June 20, 2008 @ 8:12 pmHey Linds!! I can’t believe it’s almost Saturday already…seems like time has gone fast…wondering how it has gone for you! It sounds like you are all accomplishing some of your goals that you had for the trip. Can’t wait to hear your stories!! Nothing very new hear…ready for a weekend. It sure is quiet here, and I can’t quite get used to the fact that there is never a red car parked in front of our house any more!!!
Have a wonderful time, love to your friends and much love to you…have I told you how proud I am of you lately?? Blessings, mom

Comment by Kristy Van Wyhe June 21, 2008 @ 9:13 pmIt is so fun to begin to hear a few of the stories. I know that there are so many more and we can’t wait to hear them! I pray that as the mission changes for tonight and tomorrow that you will let God use your special gifts. It is amazing listening to Hermano Jesus preach and to feel the Holy Spirit as it comes down on the village. I pray that you stay safe and have a great time!
Kristy Van Wyhe
Hey sweetie!!!
Just got done looking at all the pictures, how awesome!! I kept making all these mental pictures about what you were building and its nice to see what it really is like. I love the smile you have in every picture. I hope that it means you are having a great experience. We can get pretty complacent about what we have here at home and then to experience what you are right now it really shows how blessed we are. I can’t wait to see you next week and hear all about it. Tomorrow, Josh and I are going up north for a golf outing with all the guys. That should be an experience in itself.
Have fun, work hard and be safe. From what I have heard and seen so far, it is very apparent that all the prayers being said for all of you are certainly being answered. You are in our prayers everyday. I love you, see you soon.
-Dad
Comment by The VanderWels June 21, 2008 @ 9:53 pmLindsey:
Know that we are praying for the team as you continue your work in Guatemala. The pictures are awesome–it was fun to see your work and the smiles on your faces. It got me thinking about Mr. Adema’s talk/presentation at your graduation on how the human body works together and how it is like Christ’s body: the video of the one heart cell pumping by itself–and then when other heart cells were added and touched, they all beat together in perfect harmony. That must be what this trip is like–hearts “sold out” and all working for God in unity and able to accomplish so much more together than they ever could on their own. It’s cool to see that in action in Team Guatemala!
God bless you,
The Dooleys
Colossians 3:12-14
Comment by Lynette Dooley June 22, 2008 @ 6:56 amTherefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
