Comment by Randy June 16, 2008 @ 9:26 pmIt’s time!!! I am really excited to get this trip underway. Isn’t it awesome to think that God has had it planned out for the ages of time!
Please pray for health for the team, patience (not one of my greater virutes), safe travels, sunny skies, Dan & Heidi (they must be soooo tired), Estuardo and his family, and the people we come to share the Good News with.
I love you all.
Randy

Yes, it is awesome that the Lord has it all planned already and we will pray that the hearts that you touch will be open to receive what you are so willing to share. I know you will again be so blessed by them. May God go with you and the whole team. Ed and Sya

Comment by Karen Lepine June 18, 2008 @ 5:35 pmSounds like you’re taking a lot of grief for being anti-Pizza Hut. I have to agree with you – you’re not missing out on anything!
Sounds like it was a very late night. Hope you were able to get a little sleep on the plane and everything went smooth for the 1st building day. I’m praying that you and the team get a good night’s rest tonight and that all of you stay healthy.
Thanks for serving. God bless!

Comment by Mom V June 18, 2008 @ 7:07 pmGood Morning, My Dear,
How are your facilities? Comfy bed and all??? I’m up early today, I miss you. But whenever I think about you, I say a prayer for hard work, good attitudes and health. I’ll write more tonight-I’m heading out to go swimming. I love you!
Comment by Twyla June 19, 2008 @ 5:27 amLast night we worked at Drew & Renee’s and made a great progress! As I was working I thought about you and how hot you might be. I’m hoping and praying for a nice cooling breeze for you. We plan on painting all day today, so in essence we (you and me) are doing the same work, just in different places
Coach,
We will pray for you this week and you use your gifts to serve the people in Guat. Missed you Tuesday morning at our early morning group. I thought about your guys as we learned about being “fully present”. Enjoy the moment, TODAY. Know that God is working through you in special ways, today, that will have a lasting Kingdom impact. Look for Jesus in the eyes of the children, He is with them and you!

PS: Dont worry about your clients, I’ve got them covered…!

We are at home waiting for Jordan’s plane to leave Chicago so that we can head to the airport and pick him up from his mission trip to Malawi. We’re praying that the 11:58 p.m. arrival time doesn’t get delayed! (Like your, and his, departure.) Tho’t we’d use this time to let you know that we are praying for you and your team. We share your excitement at all that God has planned for you to do and has planned to show you–both in big and mighty ways and in small whispers! Be watchful and be patient (you can do it)!
God bless you,
The Dooleys
James 1:22

Comment by DAD June 20, 2008 @ 4:01 pmRandy:We pray all is going well in Guat. We have not heard any news from the team yet, but no news is good news. We pray for safe travel and that everyone with the 2008 team is staying healthy, cool and dry. We are your PP for the week. You and the team have been in all of our thoughts and prayers since your bus left the church parking lot on Tues AM. Give our Alexa a hug, she might need it after some of those long hot days. We will keep in touch. Your Prayer Partners
Comment by Wilma Berens June 20, 2008 @ 4:03 pmHI Randy, Sounds like you are having quite an adventure. Losing wheels, rain, no web connections, Hope and pray all will be calmer the last few days. I pray you continue to be able to do all you hope to accomplish. Enjoy. Lv ya MOM
Comment by Gram V June 21, 2008 @ 9:17 amHey big guy!! We’re at the reunion and well its not so great…we got here and the boys took off golfing and we were excited to lay out by the cold cold nice pool yet low and behold no pool…just a big dirt hole…who takes a pool out of the ground when we are here… seriously? Oh and the places…its begining to fade….so next time we’re thinking to have it at Drew and Renees at least the pool will be there and there will be plenty of room for all the fun “mixers” that are to be had! Oh geez…we know you wish you could be here and let me tell you so do we but trust me your ammenties may be even a bit better than here. well hope you have a great day! We love you!!!!!! Comment by Sya Vogelzang June 22, 2008 @ 2:17 pmIt sure is great seeing you on the pictures. And your family must not want you to be homesick with all their adventures or misadventures…..but I am sure you are happy to be there in more ways than one. May God bless you in your last couple of days there. And I am sure what was done there will impact the hearts and lives of the people into eternity.
RVL,
It looks like all went well with the building days in the village. The base pictures in the village look good. Sounds like it was another eventful road trip in Guate with the wheel falling off. I am praying for good health and safety for you and the team. Take care and enjoy your last couple of days in Guate.

Comment by Renee June 23, 2008 @ 9:52 amHey all,
Comment by Randy June 23, 2008 @ 12:11 pmWe are at McDonalds in Antigua internet cafe. out first opportunity to post. Things are great. We are all feeling well. Many in line so not able to ramble but I will have much more when I get home. I love you all. Keep praying. It has been an awesome trip and many great stories to tell. Love you all. Randy
Well, I’m back at McD’s it started to rain so we all ran back from the market. But other than a little rain today we haven’t seen rain for three days.
Comment by Randy June 23, 2008 @ 1:53 pmThe building site was great. Our family was mom and dad and five daughters with one son. Very poor but very helpful.
The first medical day was a little different. We went to a working plantation at the end of the world. These people were a bit cold but by the end of the night we were able to get some smiles. But as Dan said, the devil wasnt going to make it easy for us.
The second medical night was better. We were again at another plantation and we were able to take a walk down their village road that ended up in their coffee and corn field. Once we were at the end of the field we could see over the mountain for miles. Just beautiful.
The children have been precious. Big smiles and love to play with us. I fell in love with one at the first medical night. She was about two and just held her arms up and wanted me to hold her for as long as I would. Mom just stood next to us and watched. Don’t know where dad was if dad was even around. But she was a real cutie. Hope to get the pixs of her from some of our girls who all thought it was so cute.
We go to the new mission base today for our final personal devos. Looking forward to that.
Anyways more people are waiting. Thanks for your prayers. Keep them going. We aren’t home yet and still have some traveling to do.
Love to all.
Randy
